are you deploying directly on plasmic or somewhere else like vercel etc? Right now plasmic hosting doesn’t support using code components

Thank you, I am beginning to understand now. It is really a bummer that Plasmic doesn’t support code components, as it would make everything so much easier. As a beginner to everything React, I really enjoyed adopting Plasmic for creating the UI, but all this component and deployment overhead is a little… well, over my head.
