Trying to get site to work via GitHub Pages to change the favicon

im back to trying to get it to sync through github pages so i’m able to change the favicon, i’m noticing some differences between my old github pages site and my new one, did i configure something incorrectly? it still only shows the readme on the new site but I’ve noticed that the old one is going through a github pages branch that isn’t present on the new one?

We had since updated our instructions on github pages, does this help?

Github pages had recently deprecated the ability to set up deployment in a fully automated fashion.

We also generally recommend deploying to vercel or netlify instead, which are much richer hosts with generous free tiers.
